Albus

Introduced by Florida, Albus is a “next generation premium variety”, vigorous, high-yielding cultivar that thrives in evergreen through mid-chill production systems. In evergreen production, this widely adaptable variety ensures consistent performance with excellent disease resistance. Albus produces firm, sweet berries with a heavy wax bloom, making it a standout choice for growers seeking reliability and premium fruit quality. The berries are extremely consistent in size, flavor and texture. This variety has been tested extensively throughout all chill zones of the east coast and west coast and has shown to be an excellent cultivar for early/mid production systems. In growing regions that receive more than 200 hrs. of chilling, the variety become extremely concentrated during the picking season. We have seen growers’ machine this for fresh with ease.
